In a forest there lived a group of monkeys. One day, when they were playing, it appears by them a long-necked glass jars and narrow lower part embedded in the ground. At the bottom of the jar was no beans that have been spiked with the preferred scent monkey. Apparently the jar is a trap that put there by a hunter.
One young monkey came over and put his hand into the jar to take these nuts. However, the clenched hand holding a peanut can not be excluded from it because his fist is greater than the size of the jar neck. This Monkey thrashed out his hand to it, but still failed.
A young monkey monkey advises parents that, "Deliver kepalanmu over the nuts! You will be free with ease! "
However, young monkeys did not heed that advice, still he insisted that holding the nuts. Moments later, the hunters come from a distance. The old monkey back shouting advice: "Deliver kepalanmu right now for you free!"
Young monkey was frightened, but still he insisted to take the peanut. Finally, he was caught by the hunters.
Thus, sometimes we too often gripping and not willing to let go of the things that we should remove: anger, hatred, envy, greed, and so forth. If we still do not agree to release, when death comes to "catch" us, everything will be too late already. Would not it be easier if we let go of any past problems, and stared with a brighter tomorrow? Would not the world will become more beautiful if we could release the "fist" and share our happiness with others? (Swaramer)
